Saturday at Gulfstream. Hammered down to even-money favoritism, the homebred raced near the back in a joint second-last early as Drain the Clock () ticked off opening splits of :23.66 and :47.18. Still well back entering the backstretch, the McGaughey pupil advanced approaching the turn and kicked it into high gear in the lane, charging past Drain the Clock to score in 1:44.02. Greatest Honour finished third in his first two attempts going seven panels, first at Saratoga Sept. 5 and then at Belmont Oct. 11. Coming up a head short when extended to nine panels at Aqueduct Nov. 8, the bay broke through in a two turn test here Dec. 26 and romped in the GIII Holy Bull S. last time Jan. 330.
