Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted February 28, 2021 Journalists Share Posted February 28, 2021 Clockwork Fury, a life-size model horse, will be auctioned off during the upcoming Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's March Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training with proceeds going to Florida Thoroughbred Charities and Marion Cultural Alliance. The artwork was purchased by Brent and Crystal Fernung at the 2010 Horse Fever auction and it has been standing at the couple's Journeyman Stud which offers it again now in recognition of the difficulties currently being faced by non-profit organizations. Prior to donating the horse to benefit the two charities, artist Mark Hershberger was commissioned by the Fernungs to update CWF from 2010 technology to 2020 technology with LED lighting and animations. CWF will be on view in the lobby at OBS starting Mar. 11 and each day throughout the auction from noon to 4 p.m. The piece will be in the auction ring after the last horse leaves Mar. 16.
