Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted March 6, 2021 Journalists Share Posted March 6, 2021 DOMAIN EXPERTISE (f, 3, Kitten's Joy–Teroda, by Limehouse) was produced at the right time by perennial leading Tampa rider Antonio Gallardo and dropped her nose down on the line ahead of heavily favored 'TDN Rising Star' Jouster (Noble Mission {GB}) to cause a mild upset in Saturday's GIII Florida Oaks. Settled in midpack for the run through the stretch for the first time, the $200,000 Keeneland November weanling was snugly held by Gallardo, about six lengths behind Jouster, who was a bit keen through fractions of :22.98 and :47.60. Clocking an over-eager internal quarter mile of :23.50, Jouster still led the Oaks field clear as they hit the stretch, but Domain Expertise emerged as the lone danger from the pack and was along late as Jouster ran out of fuel at the wire. Forever Boss (Tapiture) was a longshot third. A four-length maiden winner at the track and distance Dec. 5, the chestnut filly was a latest third to the talented White Frost (Candy Ride {Arg}) in the GIII Sweetest Chant S. at Gulfstream Jan. 30.
