BOURBONIC (c, 3, Bernardini–Dancing Afleet, by Afleet Alex), completely ignored at 72-1 here having been dangled in for $50,000 three starts back, emerged from out of the clouds to run down stablemate Dynamic One (Union Rags) in Aqueduct's GII Wood Memorial S., capping a $453 Todd Pletcher-trained exacta for a buck. The winner, who stopped the clock in 1:54.49, took a starter optional claimer two back Jan. 17 and was most recently second in a Parx optional claimer Feb. 23. Pletcher took last week's GI Curlin Florida Derby with Known Agenda (Curlin), owned and bred by Dynamic One's co-owner St Elias Stables. Lifetime Record: 6-3-1-0.
