MINAUN (IRE) (f, 3, Zoffany {Ire}–Bee Eater {Ire}, by Green Desert) made a dazzling U.S. debut at Belmont Friday, blowing away her competition. Receiving Lasix for the first time here, the even-money favorite caboosed the field through a :22.90 first quarter. Inching up a bit through a :46.02 half-mile, the bay was swung out to the center of the track by Manny Franco and came flying down the lane to blow by her rivals and win going away by five lengths in 1:09 flat. Runner-up in her debut at Leopardstoown June 21, she graduated next out at Cork in the G Marble Hill S. July 5 and was privately purchased and sent Stateside. Lifetime Record: 3-2-1-0.

O-Bradley Thoroughbreds, Iris Smith Stable, & Rigney Racing; B-Sir E.J. Loder (Ire); T-Chad Brown.
