Foal NZ co-founder Leigh Wills will be presenting two free talks on foal education at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Weanling Sale later this month.

The 30-minute talks entitled ‘Does foal education create champions?’ will take place in the Phar Lap room at New Zealand Bloodstock’s Karaka complex at 4.30pm on Thursday May 13 and at 8.30am on Friday May 14.

“The talks will touch on our research and training methods that are scientifically proven to give foals the best start in life and prepare them for their future as elite equine athletes,” Wills said.

“There will also be the opportunity for people to ask questions about how they can optimise the education of their foals to give them the best start.”

Established in 2003, Foal NZ are globally recognised for their work. They have nationally and internationally published research on foal behaviour and have completed over 24,000 training sessions, without injury, at some of the biggest stud farms in New Zealand.

Over the past 18-years Foal NZ have continued to develop their processes, keeping their methods in line with up-to-date research to establish foundation behaviours that give each foal the best chance possible to become a successful racehorse.

So You Think, Preferment, Norzita and Jimmy Choux are just some of the Group One winning graduates that have completed the Foal NZ foundation behaviour programme.
