Runner-up in the Apr. 23 G3 Sandown Classic Trial and the May 8 Lingfield Derby Trial, the powerful bay was positioned in fourth early by Adam Kirby who just days before was booked to ride John Leeper (Ire) (Frankel {GB}) and who was put in the saddle ahead of Oisin Murphy. Bolshoi Ballet (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), the 11-8 favourite, was seventh.
