Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted June 5, 2021 Journalists Posted June 5, 2021 Casa Creed (h, 5, Jimmy Creed–Achalaya, by Bellamy Road) came flying late to take the GI Jackpocket Jaipur Invitational S., a Win and You're In event for the GI Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint, at Belmont Park Saturday. Sent off at 10-1, the bay settled well off the pace as even-money favorite Bound for Nowhere (The Factor) set the early tempo through fractions of :22.06 and :44.65. Still with plenty to do at the top of the stretch, Casa Creed unleashed a furious rally down the center of the course and strode clear a three-length winner. He completed the six furlongs in 1:08.04. Chewing Gum (Candy Ride {Arg}) was second and Bound for Nowhere was third. Casa Creed, winner of the 2019 GII National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame S., was 12th in last year's GI Breeders' Cup Mile. He opened 2021 with a runner-up effort in the Jan. 9 GIII Tropical Park Turf S. Shipped west, he finished sixth in the Mar. 6 GI Kilroe Mile before just getting his head in front on the line to win the Apr. 24 Elusive Quality S. over the Belmont lawn last time out. Casa Creed is a half-brother to this year's GIII Kitten's Joy S. winner Chess's Dream (Jess's Dream). He was a $15,000 purchase at the OBS January sale in 2017 and a $105,000 KEESEP yearling purchase that same year. Lifetime Record: 20-5-3-3. O-LRE Racing & JEH Racing. B-Silver Springs Stud (Ky). T-William Mott.
