Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted June 16, 2021 Journalists Share Posted June 16, 2021 Exciting sprinter Lost And Running (NZ) (Per Incanto) has secured his spot in this year’s Everest. The John O’Shea-trained four-year-old was announced as the TAB’s slot-holder on Wednesday afternoon and is marked a $13 with Sportsbet for the race. The talented gelding has won six of his seven starts and is rated as one of the county’s best up-and-coming sprinters. The Everest will be run at Randwick on October 16. O’Shea said he is thrilled to secure a spot in this year’s race with a horse he rates so highly. “Lost And Running is far and away the best sprinter I have trained and the group who own him have owned some serious racehorses over their time, but I’ve never seen a group of people so excited when we announced we’d teamed with TAB for this year’s TAB Everest,” he said. Tabcorp Managing Director Wagering and Media, Adam Rytenskild, said: “We are delighted to have secured the services of Australia’s most exciting sprinter for what has rapidly risen to become the world’s richest and most competitive sprint race.” Lost And Running was bred by JML Bloodstock’s Lib Petagna, who retains an interest in the impressive galloper, who races in the colours of owner Carl Holt, with partners including Frank and Christine Cook and O’Shea’s wife Isabel. Lost And Running is by Little Avondale Stud’s Per Incanto, with the proven son of Street Cry set to stand for $25,000 + GST (LFG) in the new breeding season.
