Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted June 18, 2021 Journalists Share Posted June 18, 2021 Off the mark on debut over six furlongs on Kempton's Polytrack May 19, Kirsten Rausing's Sandrine (GB) (Bobby's Kitten) gave the Andrew Balding stable another Royal Ascot 2-year-old group winner as she mastered the heavy ground and 14 rivals in Friday's G3 Albany S. Keen initially in the hands of David Probert racing wide behind the leading group, the 16-1 shot was briefly stopped in her run approaching two out but was unperturbed and when freed wore down Hello You (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) inside the final 150 yards. Asserting close home, the homebred registered a 1 1/2-length success from that rival, with Oscula (Ire) (Galileo Gold {GB}) who had been third behind the winner at Kempton again in that spot, half a length away having broken away from the main group to come up the stand's side.
