HorseBetting’s Queensland form analyst has previewed the eight-race card at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday afternoon and brings you his best bets, value bet and quaddie numbers. The track is rated a Good 4 and the rail is +10m from the 1200m-400m, including the 1400m & 1000m chutes; and +8m for the remainder of the course. The first of eight is set to jump at 1:20pm AEST.

Sunshine Coast Best Bet – Lucifer’s Loot

Nat McCall and James Orman combined for our best bet last Sunday with Sacca and we are confident they can do it again in the fifth race this Sunday with Lucifer’s Loot. The four-year-old gelding has only had five career starts, winning on debut and finishing second at his most recent start at this track and trip behind Hamilton Hill. Drawn barrier five, this son of Rich Enuff should get every chance up on the speed and be very hard to bear.

Best BetRace 5 – Lucifer’s Loot (#3) $4.40 with Sportsbet

Next Best Bet – The Ritz

James Orman has started off the season brilliantly, so we are happy to tip him with confidence again on Sunday. In the penultimate race, he partners the in-form Michael Costa stable with The Ritz. The four-year-old son of Mossman has had just three career starts, winning two and placing second in the other at the back end of last year. The Ritz has had two 1000m trials which should have him wound up and ready to fire fresh over 1400m on a track which will suit. Orman on again from barrier five will allow The Ritz to dictate terms and take some serious running down.

Next BestRace 7 – The Ritz (#3) $2.50 with Sportsbet

Sunshine Coast’s Best Value – Virgo Vision

Stuart Kendrick and Anthony Allen combine in the third with three-year-old gelding, Virgo Vision. The son of Show A Heart has had just two career starts, running last on debut before jumping out of his skin to be beaten less than half a length at Ipswich last time out behind Queen’s Pier. The gelding has led in both starts so far which we expect to see again here as he steps out to 1400m for the first time. He will need to improve again, but the home track advantage will suit, especially with the rail out 10m.

Best ValueRace 3 – Virgo Vision (#9) $7.00 with Sportsbet
