Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted August 10, 2021 Journalists Share Posted August 10, 2021 What Sandown Hillside Races Where Sandown Racecourse – 591-659 Princes Hwy, Springvale VIC 3171 When Wednesday, August 11, 2021 First Race 12:25pm AEST Watch Live Streaming Live at Sportsbet The Hillside track at Sandown is scheduled to host an eight-part card on Wednesday afternoon, and HorseBetting.com.au’s Victorian form analyst presents his best bets and top quaddie selections with odds from Australia’s best betting sites. The track is rated a Soft 5 with the rail out 6m foe the entire circuit, and the meeting is set to underway at 12:25pm AEST. Sandown Best Bet: Tuvalu The Lindsey Smith-trained Tuvalu looks well placed to break a string of runner-up performances having chased home the impressive I’m Thunderstruck in his past two starts. After settling three wide without cover at Moonee Valley on July 31, it was some effort to go down by just a half-length to one of the boom horses heading into the spring. He comes back to a track that he has tasted success on before, and with a step up to 1800m coming when third-up from a spell, we anticipate Tuvalu will salute in the second leg of the quaddie with a dominant front-running display. Best BetRace 6 – Tuvalu (#7) $1.65 with Sportsbet Next Best at Sandown: Eagles Crag Wednesday marks the return of Eagles Crag for the Archie Alexander stable in preparation for some of the nicer races later in the spring. The way the four-year-old Fastnet Rock entire won his two starts during the summer suggested he was one to follow, and he has a win to his name at Sandown already (albeit on the Lakeside track). He will look to go forward from barrier four under Jamie Kah and will most likely settle outside Mr Brightside in the running. Despite his rival having race fitness on his side, Eagles Crag has a touch of class and should be too good in the opening leg of the quaddie. Next BestRace 5 – Eagles Crag (#7) $3.90 with Sportsbet Sandown Value Bet: Madame Bolli In the final leg of the quaddie, the Jim Conlan-trained Madame Bolli steps back from a Saturday metropolitan race to a midweek BM70 against her own sex. Despite being well beaten at Caulfield on July 10, she had managed to put together three successive wins prior to that. The four-year-old Written Tycoon mare has the early speed to go forward and dictate terms, and with Josh Richards on board claiming 3kg, she will prove hard to catch with just 55kg on her back. Best ValueRace 8 – Madame Bolli (#8) $11 with Ladbrokes Sandown Hillside quaddie numbers Sandown quadrella selections Leg 1: 5-7 Leg 2: 7-8 Leg 3: 4-7-8-10-13 Leg 4: 3-6-8-10-12 Investment: $100 for 100% See more horse racing tips View the full article
