Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted August 13, 2021 Journalists Posted August 13, 2021 Race 2 HIREPOOL (1600 metres)PADDY WAGON (J Fillmore) – Trainer Mr M Garrett advised Stewards, PADDY WAGON, was taken directly to Waikato Vets for a further veterinary examination including x-rays, which revealed the mare to have a split off fore pastern. PADDY WAGON underwent surgery where four screws were put into the pastern area. M Garrett further advised that PADDY WAGON has now left Waikato Vets and is recovering well.
