Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted September 11, 2021 Journalists Posted September 11, 2021 Godolphin's Hurricane Lane (Ire) (Frankel {GB}) looked to have outstanding claims in Saturday's G1 Cazoo St Leger, being one of the most accomplished runners to head to the beloved Doncaster Classic for some time, and he duly delivered to add to his June 26 G1 Irish Derby and July 14 G1 Grand Prix de Paris victories. Always travelling with ease in mid-division kept wide and out of trouble by William Buick, the 8-11 favourite moved to the G1 Epsom Derby runner-up Mojo Star (Ire) (Sea the Stars {Ire}) two out and quickly had his measure en route to a 2 3/4-length success, with The Mediterranean (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) two lengths away in third. “He was the class horse in the race and it worked out beautifully,” Buick said. “You never know until they go this far, but he took me into the race so nicely and has that turn of foot at the end as well. He's a great horse and it's been a fantastic season for everyone in the yard. There is always pressure, but that just shows you are on the best horse.” The post Frankel’s Hurricane Lane Dominates The Leger appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
