About two hours after GI H. Allen Jerkens S. runner-up Life Is Good (Into Mischief) turned the GII Kelso H. into a one-horse show, the winner of that race, J. Kirk and Judy Robison's JACKIE'S WARRIOR (c, 3, Maclean's Music–Unicorn Girl, by A.P. Five Hundred), was never out of second gear in winning Saturday's GIII Gallant Bob S. in handy fashion. Displaying his normal early dash, Jackie's Warrior clicked off an opening quarter in :21 4/5, though he did have some token 'pressure' from the rail-drawn Real Talk (Gemologist). Dispatching of that rival with consummate ease at the three-furlong pole, Jackie's Warrior was past the half-mile in :44 flat, was under no urging whatsoever entering the stretch and had about seven lengths on the rallying Pickin' Time (Stay Thirsty) on the wire. Sales history: $95,000 Ylg '19 KEESEP. O-J Kirk & Judy Robison; B-J & J Stables (KY); T-Steve Asmussen.
