Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted September 28, 2021 Journalists Share Posted September 28, 2021 Two up-and-coming greyhounds – Unathi Bale and Boom Out – are set to do battle at Warrnambool in today’s Mixed 4/5 450m race. Unathi Bale (6 from 20) is having his first start at the track, while Boom Out (7 from 15) is aiming to record his third win from five starts over 450m at Warrnambool. The standout chaser at Warrnambool is Bareki (12 from 19), who has won both of her starts since resuming from a three-month layoff at the beginning of September. Crackerjack Keg (21.78sec PB) v Robin’s Choice v Saint Mac (3 of last 4) v Alumni (3 from 7 Box 6) should be a tight event, while Aston Bomber v Numinous v Kenji Bale v Parlo Bale appears to be another hotly-contested race. The best race at Healesville today is the 300m Free For All featuring Soda Diamond (11 from 21 – 5 from 8 Trk/Dst) and Anita Sonic Love (5 from 5 Trk/Dst – 16.45sec PB). Last start Sandown Park 515m winner Boombox Hammer v Notoriety v Blue Spot should provide a terrific contest, while The Watchdog is confident that Dash Home (5 of last 6), Aston Latham (4 from 5), Sharky Shark (2 of last 3) and Soul Reader will all prevail. Bill Bob Lad and Midnight Vandal should boost their respective records at Geelong, while Ironclad (4 from 10 Trk/Dst) v Throw Caution (2 of last 3) v It’s Not Fun (2 of last 4) v G3 placegetter Sovereign Wind is a quality 400m Free For All at Warragul. Nova’s Way (5 from 8) v Voltage Spike v Mr. Bob (18 from 49) is predicted to be a great tussle along with Sneaky Mojo (15 from 41) v He Shall Rodger v Ivy Isobel v El Cazador. Queen Kathleen (3 of last 4) and Amlin Crystal (2 of last 3) are expected to enhance their respective strike rates as well. Here’s an extensive analysis of today’s Must Watch Race, and be sure to scroll down further for The Watchdog’s $10 spend… MUST-WATCH RACE: Edwards Electrical Mixed 4/5 UNATHI BALE BOOM OUT Warrnambool Race 8 450m 5:43pm Form https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539029/race/8 The Watchdog says : Great matchup today with two explosive types expected to have a high pressure battle throughout. BOOM OUT (8) is still learning what it is all about, but he is armed with a breathtaking turn of foot once he hits the ground and from the favourable draw today, he should get every chance to balance up and tackle the first bend in the top two. He recorded his 25.22sec PB here from this draw back in July and he is a lot stronger this time around, so his rivals will have to go to another level to reel him in. UNATHI BALE (2) is just as gifted as the pink but like his main rival, he can miss the kick at times. He too has phenomenal pace once he leaves the mat and if given room, he should be able to push the favourite throughout, however with a keen railer drawn on his outside, he may get crowded in the first 50m or so and that could be the difference. KRAKEN TEX (4) deserves a mention. He is as honest as they come and although he has struggled here in the past, he is a very strong chaser. If he finds the rail soon after box rise, he should save a lot of ground through the bend and he will be strong in the closing stages, so he must be included in your exotic bets. MOW A MEADOW (7) rounds out the serious chances. He would have preferred a rails draw but he is quite versatile, and he beat a good line up at Cranbourne two runs back, so he is capable of causing a minor upset. Selections: 8 – 2 – 4 – 7 THE WATCHDOG’S $10 INVESTMENT Tuesday 28 September $2 Multi First : Place – AMERICAN MISSILE Healesville Race 11 Box 3 300m 1:49pmTAB fixed odds: $1.50 Place (Top two finish required)Form https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539000/race/11 Second : Win – BACK MOO MOO Warragul Race 1 Box 8 400m 6:46pmTAB fixed odds: $2.60 WinForm https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539002/race/1 The Watchdog says : AMERICAN MISSILE (3) loves racing up the straight and she will be suited by the small line-up. She will head to the outside initially, but with the vacant draws, she should be able to get there without too much bother. BACK MOO MOO (8) was dominant in her heat win and although she was not the fastest heat winner, she did overcome some interference initially and she will be better for the run. So, with a clean getaway she can go a lot faster tonight. Multi price: $3.90 $3 Win – BOOM OUT Warrnambool Race 8 Box 8 450m 5:43pm Must Watch Race TAB fixed odds: $2.10 WinForm https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539029/race/8 The Watchdog says : He recorded his slick 25.22sec PB here from this draw and I think he is a lot stronger this time around. If he can avoid bother initially, he can light them up at the bend and prove too classy in the run home. $4 Win – RUSH OUT Warrnambool Race 10 Box 2 390m 6:18pmTAB fixed odds: $2.30 WinForm https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539029/race/10 The Watchdog says : Her last few runs do not look good on paper; however, she has had to work hard after missing the kick on those occasions. With the red expected to show some pace today, RUSH OUT (2) should get a nice run through, and she is armed with a dynamic turn of foot. So, with a clear passage early, she can burn them off mid race and get the cash. $1 Win – VOLTAGE SPIKE Lucky Longshot Warragul Race 6 Box 4 460m 8:33pmTAB fixed odds: $8 WinForm https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539002/race/6 The Watchdog says : She is armed with a terrific turn of foot and with the brilliant pace of NOVA’S WAY (3), she should get a nice cart across early on and she may prove too strong in the run home. She represents great value tonight.
