HorseBetting’s Queensland form analyst, Nicholas Lloyd, brings you his best bets and quaddie numbers for the eight-race metropolitan meeting at Ipswich on Wednesday. The track is rated a Soft 5, the rail is out 5m for the entire course, and the first race is scheduled to jump at 1:08pm AEST.

Ipswich Best Bet: Whozyadeeler

Promising type Whozyadeeler lines up for his second start of the campaign in the penultimate race, where he looks incredibly hard to beat should he get back to the form we saw him in in his first two starts. Trained by Tony Gollan and to be ridden by Ryan Maloney, this talented son of Dundeel won his first two starts by a combined 8.25 lengths at the start of the year and has since run third and fifth. The five-year-old went into his first-up run off one average trial, so the disappointing run wasn’t too much of a shock, but he has been back to the trials since for a two-length win and returns to midweek company here, so we expect a sharp improvement. Drawn in barrier eight in the field of nine, we expect Ryan Maloney to flop him out of the gates, get him to settle and let down with one final burst in the final stages.

Best BetRace 7 – Whozyadeeler (#4) $2.05 with Sportsbet

Next Best Bet at Ipswich: Brave Warrior

Maryann Brosnan’s four-year-old Brave Warrior drifted in the market at Doomben last time out as if he had lost a leg in the parade ring, drifting from $6 out to $15, but he pulled the punters’ pants down to lead all the way and win by 1.25 lengths. The son of Exceed And Excel showed ability in his first two career starts at Grafton and Ballina respectively but was slow away both times and left with too much work to do in the straight, finishing in the minor money twice over 1000m. The step out to 1350m did him a world of good, as did the change of tactics, so we hope to see a similar approach taken on Wednesday under Jaden Lloyd. Drawn in barrier seven with 56kg on his back after Lloyd’s claim, he should be able to cross over, find the front and kick on the corner once again.

Next BestRace 8 – Brave Warrior (#1) $3.30 with Sportsbet

Ipswich Value Bet: Mr Reddington

Local trainer Phil Bobic saddles up his six-year-old maiden galloper in the opener on Wednesday. Mr Reddington, a son of Fiorente, has only placed once in eight starts, and although he was beaten by 6.5 lengths last start when seventh, there was enough merit in the run to suggest he can improve in what is a race lacking any sort of quality. The gelding contested a 2200m maiden behind Stocked And Loaded at the Gold Coast on Goldmarket Handicap Day; the fields were bigger and had a bit more class about them on that occasion, so back to the home track at Ipswich in a field with only nine rivals should be to his liking. This guy can run a cheeky race at monster odds.

Best ValueRace 1 – Mr Reddington (#2) $61 with Sportsbet
