Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 7, 2021 Journalists Posted October 7, 2021 Grade I winner Mr Speaker (Pulpit–Salute, by Unbridled) has been purchased by Lori and Mark Collinsworth and will be relocating to their Forks of the Paluxy Farm in Bluff Dale, Texas for the 2022 Breeding Season. He will stand for $5,000. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to stand a horse of Mr Speaker's caliber in Texas,” said Mark Collinsworth. “He was a very talented racehorse, and he is off to a great start in his stallion career with a number of stakes horses already to his credit. With the creation of new Texas-sired stakes races this year and the purse increases we have seen recently in Texas, we are thrilled to offer a stallion with his proven credentials to Texas breeders.” A Phipps homebred trained by Shug McGaughey, Mr Speaker won six of 18 races and earned $1,247,544. His four black-type victories were topped by a win in the 2014 GI Belmont Derby. He previously stood at Lane's End Farm and his top progeny includes GISW Speech.
