Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 11, 2021 Journalists Share Posted October 11, 2021 What Newcastle Races Where Newcastle Racecourse – Darling St, Broadmeadow NSW 2292 When Tuesday, October 12, 2021 First Race 1:55pm AEDT Watch Live Streaming Live at Sportsbet HorseBetting’s New South Wales form analyst presents his best bets and quaddie numbers for the seven-race card at Newcastle on Tuesday afternoon. The track is rated a Good 4, the rail is out 10m for the entire circuit, and the meeting is set to get kick off at 1:55pm AEDT. Newcastle Best Bet – Norwegian Bliss The Nathan Doyle-trained Norwegian Bliss was an impressive debut winner at Port Macquarie on September 26, and we think she can remain unbeaten when she steps up to the 1300m. Having travelled three wide with no cover, the four-year-old El Roca mare managed to put some two lengths on her rivals after hitting the front with 100m to go. She draws barrier two here, and with Ashley Morgan retaining the ride, she should be given the run of the race and prove too hard to hold out. Norwegian Bliss showed she is armed with a nice turn of foot, and with even luck upon straightening, she should be simply too good for this Class 1 field. Best BetRace 4 – Norwegian Bliss (#4) $1.85 with Sportsbet Next Best at Newcastle – Field Wiri We opted to side with Field Wiri at Goulburn on October 5, but she was ultimately scratched and saved for another day, which would appear to be this Tuesday at Newcastle. Having chased home the likes of Gleneagles and Overpass on debut when beaten just over three lengths, the three-year-old daughter of Deep Field looks to have a fair bit of upside. She returns off a near six-month spell, and with two trials to her name in preparation for this, we expect her to be hard to beat. Lee Magorrian will make sure the filly is settled in the first four, and considering the rail is out 10m, it could prove beneficial to be up on speed early in the meeting. Next BestRace 1 – Field Wiri (#2) $2.25 with Sportsbet Newcastle Value Bet – Lord Heron Allan Kehoe sends his seven-year-old Lord Heron to the Newcastle 1600m having been defeat by two lengths on October 2 at the Newcastle 1300m. The son of All Too Hard has proved to be a genuine front-runner throughout his career, and with the rail out 10m and all five of his career wins coming on Good-rated tracks, it looks to be a perfect recipe for success. Apprentice Georgina McDonnell hops on board claiming 3kg and from barrier three should have no issue finding the front, dictating terms and adding a third win to Lord Heron’s name at Newcastle. Best ValueRace 7 – Lord Heron (#1) $10 with Sportsbet Tuesday quaddie tips for Newcastle Newcastle quadrella selections Leg 1: 4 Leg 2: 1-6-7-10 Leg 3: 1-2-4-9 Leg 4: 1-2-5-11 Investment: $64 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
