Fears that Adayar (Ire) (Frankel {GB}) would find it hard coming back 13 days after the G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe proved well-founded in Saturday's G1 QIPCO Champion S. as another who contested the ParisLongchamp monument used it as a springboard to success in Sealiway (Fr) (Galiway {GB}). Haras de la Gousserie's €62,000 Arqana Deauville August graduate had caught the eye when fifth there and the Cedric Rossi-trained 3-year-old travelled with enthusiasm in fourth early in the hands of Mickael Barzalona. Tackling Adayar two out, last year's G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere hero had to battle to ward off the threat of Dubai Honour (Ire) (Pride of Dubai {Aus}) but the 12-1 shot proved equal to the task to prevail by 3/4 of a length, with 1 1/2 lengths back to Mac Swiney (Ire) (New Approach {Ire}) in third.
