Invictus Ethan (2 of last 4) has finished top-two in 10 of his 11 350m starts at Healesville and The Watchdog has tipped him to triumph today’s Restricted Win final (350m).

Potential topliner Dynamic Prince (5 from 7 – 2 from 3 Trk/Dst) and Body Hack (7 from 16) are considered the biggest threats to Invictus Ethan.

Last year’s G3 Healesville Cup runner-up Paua Of Oscar (16 from 33) v Coolant (15 from 29 – 2 from 3 Trk/Dst) v G2 placegetter Amarillo Highway feature in the 350m Free For All.

Murt Law v Slingshot Reaper (4 from 7 Trk/Dst) v Victorian Straight Track Championship finalist Hello George (16 from 36) v Aubameyang v 86-start veteran Pirates Patch (2 from 4 Trk/Dst) is an extremely open 300m Free For All.

Baby Talk (9 from 18) v Isolating (9 from 16 – 2 from 2 Trk/Dst) should provide a terrific duel in the Grade 5 350m final, while Victorian Straight Track Championship finalist Jordanville Jet will appreciate dropping in grade.

Despite Dr. Tucker and Dr. Madison being scratched, the 440m Free For All at Sale is still a quality race with The Horizon finalists Massimo and Omega Dodge (7 of last 9) facing Dr. Slats (5 from 9 – 4 from 6 Trk/Dst) and Sale Sprint Championship finalist Sweet Demi (9 from 22 Trk/Dst).

Wednesday’s G3 Great Chase winner Ridge (4 of last 5) and Omega Gringo (3 of last 5) are both expected to prevail.

At Ballarat, Moon Over Mexico (2 of last 4), Lalina (13 from 24), Sagacious (4 of last 5 – 3 from 4 Box 2) and Mono Chromatic (3 from 5 Trk/Dst) should all boost their respective strike rates according to The Watchdog.

👀MUST-WATCH RACE: Trials Every Wednesday (3 – 6 Wins) Final

INVICTUS ETHAN 🆚DYNAMIC PRINCE 🆚BODY HACK

📍Healesville 🏁 Race 6 📏 350m ⏱ 12:32pm

The Watchdog says
🎤: Cracking affair and we see three elite speedsters do battle up the straight. DYNAMIC PRINCE (4) is clearly the fastest of the three overall, however he can miss the kick and he will need some room in the first 50m or so. After missing the kick in his heat, he showed an explosive turn of foot, and he charged his way through to the lead and scored with ease in a slick 19.39sec. I’m a little concerned about the draw today and with YOUR EMBRACE (9) now exiting box five, he may get crowded in the initial stages. INVICTUS ETHAN (1) is a straight track specialist, and he has come up with the gun draw today. He was beaten in his heat last week, but he did find early bother when trying to find the rail. From the favourable draw, he should gain a clear passage and if he finds the top early, they will have their work cut out trying to reel him in. BODY HACK (7) rounds out the ‘big guns’. He followed up his enormous performance in a heat of the Group 2 Bendigo Cup with a slashing 19.26sec heat win last Sunday and if he can reproduce a similar performance today, he will prove hard to hold out. He beat ‘Ethan’ in his heat, however he did spear the lids and gain a clear passage, so on givebacks I think the red runner has him covered by a half-length and the box draw could be the difference today.

Selections:  1 – 4 – 7 – 3

💰 $3 Win – INVICTUS ETHAN
📍 Healesville 🏁 Race 6 🔲 Box 1 📏 350m ⏱ 12:32pm     👀Must Watch Race 👀
TAB fixed odds: $2.50 Win
Form 👉https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539103/race/6

The Watchdog says
🎤 : He is a straight track specialist and I think he can atone for his luckless heat run. DYNAMIC PRINCE (4) is a beast but I’m expecting him to find early bother. If ‘Ethan’ can step on terms, he should be able to drive through and challenge BODY HACK (7) for the lead and he will prove too strong in the closing stages.

💰 $4 Win – BABY TALK
📍 Healesville 🏁 Race 8 🔲 Box 3 📏 350m ⏱ 1:02pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.30 Win
Form 👉https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539103/race/8

The Watchdog says
🎤 : She was beaten narrowly in her heat, but she didn’t have a lot of luck on that occasion, and I think she can make amends. Since returning from a spell, she has turned in two stellar performances and with THROW CAUTION (2) expected to step well and look for the rail, our selection should get a nice run into the race and with the ability to go sub 19.20sec, they will have trouble holding her out. ISOLATING (5) is all class, however I believe he needed a rails draw to have a serious chance today.

Third
🦵: Place – JEZZA BENCE

TAB fixed odds: $2.30 Place
Form 👉https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539102/race/7

The Watchdog says
🎤 : PAUA OF OSCAR (2) has been luckless of late and with the smaller line-up today, he is expected to make amends. LALINA (3) is a star talent and the Massina camp have an amazing strike rate with their chasers, so I’m expecting her to be primed for this assignment and even at 80 percent fit, she would have a fair bit on this line-up. JEZZA BENCE (1) has shown a lot of improvement of late and from the good draw, he gets a chance to run a big race at odds. There are a couple of handy ones in this event, so he may get picked off late, but a top three finish looks likely.
