Here’s an extensive analysis of today’s Must Watch Race, and be sure to scroll down further for The Watchdog’s $10 spend… MUST-WATCH RACE: TAB Venue Mode (3 – 6 Wins) Heat 1 SMOKIN’ GRILLE ASTON LATHAM JET LIKE RICO Healesville Race 5 350m 12:22pm Form https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539107/race/5 The Watchdog says : It is only a field of six, but we see some exciting speedsters do battle and I am expecting them to test the clock today. ASTON LATHAM (4) has won four-of-five over this track/distance to date and he is sure to have plenty of support. He is obviously a great chance, but this is going to be his toughest test to date, and he will be giving some explosive types a bit of a head start. SMOKIN’ GRILLE (2) hasn’t raced since August, but he showed enormous potential when last in work and he gives every indication that he will be suited to straight track racing. He has already carved out impressive times around Bendigo and Warragul and he recorded slick early sectionals in those wins. If he can bring that type of form to the straight, he should be able to press the 19.10sec mark. JET LIKE RICO (5) rounds out the main trio. He was a slashing 16.65sec winner here in September and he followed that up with a scorching 22.49sec win at Warragul. He has the form on the board up the straight and with his great turn of foot, he should be able to apply pressure throughout and figure in the finish. With the smaller line-up, the three ‘big guns’ should all gain a fairly clear passage, and it should be a thrilling affair. Selections: 2 – 5 – 4 – 8 THE WATCHDOG’S $10 INVESTMENT Tuesday 26 October $2 Trifecta – 1,2 / 1,2 / 4,5,7 (33.33%) Healesville Race 4 300m 12:02pmForm https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539107/race/4 The Watchdog says : MT. VIEW AUDREY (1) and UNTESTED (2) are both highly-talented speedsters and should have a great battle throughout. KING KABOOM (4) and LOUIS THE LEGEND (7) are the obvious ones for second, but we have included KRAKEN JOCK (5) for value. $3.50 Win – SMOKIN’ GRILLE Healesville Race 5 Box 2 350m 12:23pm Must Watch Race TAB fixed odds: $4 WinForm https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539107/race/5 The Watchdog says : Great race but SMOKIN’ GRILLE (2) comes into this nice and fresh and his kennel have a good record up the straight. With an even getaway, he can pounce on the lead and really test the clock. $4.50 Multi First : Place – ADONIS SANDS Healesville Race 7 Box 8 350m 1:02pmTAB fixed odds: $1.30 Place (Top two finish required)Form https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539107/race/7 Second : Place – SPEEDY VILLAIN Healesville Race 8 Box 4 350m 1:24pmTAB fixed odds: $1.35 Place (Top two finish required)Form https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539107/race/8 Third : Place – UNATHI BALE Geelong Race 8 Box 8 460m 6:09pmTAB fixed odds: $1.50 PlaceForm https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/716506153/race/8 The Watchdog says : ADONIS SANDS (8) has been ultra-impressive since resuming and he should be prominent throughout. SPEEDY VILLAIN (4) has recorded some sizzling 300m wins here of late and he should have no trouble covering the extra 50m, so a top two finish looks likely. UNATHI BALE (8) is far better than his form indicates and from the good draw, he should be able to regain some much needed confidence. He is armed with a breathtaking turn of foot, and he should be in the top two for most of the journey.
