Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted November 7, 2021 Journalists Posted November 7, 2021 A potentially hot pace never materialized, and they simply couldn't catch KNICKS GO (h, 5, Paynter–Kosmo's Buddy, by Outflanker), as the grey solidified his Horse of the Year title in the GI Breeders' Cup Classic. Controversial GI Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit (Protonico) checked in second, some three lengths back, with Knick's Go's stablemate and favorite Essential Quality (Tapit) settling for third after never seeming particularly comfortable. Knicks Go, last year's GI Big Ass Fans Dirt Mile winner and riding in on a three-race win streak here, stopped the clock in a snappy 1:59.57. It was announced last month that Knicks Go will stand at Taylor Made upon retirement. Sales history: $40,000 wlg '16 KEENOV; $87,000 wlg '17 KEESEP. Lifetime Record: 24-10-3-1.
