HorseBetting’s Victorian racing analyst has previewed the nine-race program at Moe Racing Club on Monday afternoon and brings you his best bets, value bet and quaddie numbers. The track is rated a Soft 5 and the rail is out 6m for the entire course. The first of nine races is scheduled to jump at 1:00pm AEDT.

Moe’s Best Bet – Bring The Stars

Jamie Mott will partner the Robbie Griffiths & Matthew de Kock-trained Bring The Stars in the fourth race of the afternoon. The three-year-old gelding has had six career starts for just the two runner-up performances, one of which came last time out at Hamilton, while the other was on debut at Pakenham back in April. In just this son of Sebring’s third career start, the stable opted to race him in a $125,000 race at Flemington where he ran a respectful sixth, behind the likes of Blushing Tycoon, Linas Legend and Spirit Of Gaylard, all of which are subsequent stakes performers. Bring The Stars comes into this third-up and he stays at the mile which should suit, so we are confident he can break his maiden here.

Best BetRace 4 – Bring The Stars (#6) $3.70 with Sportsbet

Next Best Bet – Denirra

A few scratchings in this race have decimated our top pick’s odds, with the Luke Oliver-trained Denirra now a $1.60 favourite after opening $2.40, but we are pretty confident she will be justifying the short quote. This four-year-old daughter of Denman has had four starts for two second placings, including a 1.25 length defeat at Donald over 1200m on October 10. She stays at the 1200m on Monday and will be third-up, so she should be peaking fitness wise here, while she maps to get every chance from barrier two. Jason Maskiell has not ridden this mare before, but she seems a pretty straight-forward type of horse who should be able to box seat from the good draw. Today is the day for Denirra.

Next BestRace 2 – Denirra (#6) $1.60 with Sportsbet

Best Value At Moe – Dupie Doll

In the second leg of the quaddie, Dupie Doll goes around in a bid to remain unbeaten in Victoria. The six-year-old Duporth mare started her career in Queensland where she was a Doomben winner at just her second career start, but she struggled to go on with the job at her next four starts before being transferred to Mark Stephenson’s Mornington stable. The six-year-old led all of the way to win first-up off a 508 day break to win at St Arnaud over 1100m, so she should take plenty of improvement out of that second-up. Kiran Quilty partnered the mare first-up and she has once again been trusted to ride, so her 2kg claim will be beneficial as she now has to carry 60kg. From barrier 10, Quilty will take this mare forward and look to lead from barrier to box once again. The $9 seems value.

Best ValueRace 7 – Dupie Doll (#5) $9.00 with Sportsbet
