Fasig-Tipton-Winner-Logo.jpgTrainer Ken McPeek was forced to scratch morning line favorite Tiz the Bomb (Hit It a Bomb) from Saturday's GII Kentucky Jockey Club S., but he scored his third win in this event–and fourth win on Churchill's Stars of Tomorrow card–thanks to 'TDN Rising Star' SMILE HAPPY (c, 3, Runhappy–Pleasant Smile, by Pleasant Tap). A 5 1/2-length debut winner from off the pace going two turns at Keeneland Oct. 29, the dark bay was away at 9-2 and stalked from midpack out in the clear. He advanced with a four-wide bid heading for home, and found another gear in midstretch to pull away by some three lengths in 1:43.94. Favorite Classic Causeway (Giant's Causeway) settled for second, with Florida invader White Abbario (Race Day) rounding out the trifecta. Sales history: $175,000 wnlg '19 KEENOV; $185,000 ylg '20 FTKSEL. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0.
O-Lucky Seven Stable (Mackin). B-Moreau Bloodstock Int'l Inc. & White Bloodstock LLC (Ky). T-Kenneth G. McPeek.
