A terrific battle between the in-form On The Bit, G2 Healesville Cup placegetter Hill Top Jonah and G3 Great Chase finalist Indy Fido is set to take place at Ballarat tonight.

Geelong Derby winner Nikoli Bale, plus the duel between the promising Indy Lolly and Healesville Derby runner-up Paddy’s Marvel, are also highlights of the meeting at Ballarat.

Multiple Group finalists Fernando Frank and Riccarton Rick is the feature clash at Cranbourne this evening.

Isolating v Starlight Tyson and Apache Runner v Freya Bale should also provide strong duels at Cranbourne.

Recent G3 Great Chase runner-up Hamillson and Group 1 Rookie Rebel winner Fernando Cazz headline this afternoon’s card at The Meadows.

From the good draw, he should be able to settle in the top three and he will be very strong in the run home. SHE’S SO KIND (1) was brilliant here last time, and she will be on the pace from the outset, so a top-two finish looks likely. I’M EASY BOYS (1) is as consistent as they come, and he is armed with slick early pace. He will need to be at his best, as he takes on the classy FERNANDO CAZZ (4), but an even getaway should see him finish in the top two.

After missing the start, he showed an amazing turn of speed to get into second spot and he really made the explosive DAPH’S YAK work hard for 300m. With an ounce of luck early, he should be able to assume control quickly and I’m expecting him to hit the line a lot better tonight.

ON THE BIT (1) is a gifted speedster and he has some breathtaking wins to his credit. He was desperately unlucky last Wednesday night and with a clear run early, he can figure prominently. However, his box manners can let him down and from the red draw, he can’t afford to make any mistakes. HILL TOP JONAH (5) has an electric turn of foot and if given room early, he should be able to burst to the early lead. He was a dazzling 25.16sec heat winner and a similar performance can see him score again. INDY FIDO (6) won his heat in a scorching 25.02sec and he will get a nice cart across in the initial stages.
