Robbie Rotten was valiant behind prolific winner Hazey Roy at Ballarat last Wednesday night and he is tipped to win.

The in-form Shanlyn Cripps and the consistent Studley are expected to challenge Robbie Rotten in their Mixed 4/5 450m encounter.

The Watchdog says : JODIE’S BOY (8) loves racing around this circuit, and he is very strong in the run home, so he should be able to avoid early bother from the outside draw and that will allow him to hit the scoreboard. ROBBIE ROTTEN (8) was brilliant at Ballarat and he will be much better for the run, so a top-two finish looks likely. BLAZING NENNA (2) has been racing well in stronger company of late and she should be able to lead for a long way. The last 30m is a worry but she will be able to hold on for a top-three finish.

He will exit the same draw tonight and with STUDLEY (6) expected to crowd the inside division, he should be able to assume control soon after box rise, and he will be carving out serious time.

ROBBIE ROTTEN (8) has recently joined the Kayla Cottrell kennel and he came from New South Wales with big expectations. He made his Victorian debut at Ballarat, and he was narrowly beaten by star speedster HAZEY ROY. That was his first run for six weeks and he had to work hard to get to the lead before being run down in the shadows of the post. He should be much better for the run and a sub 25.10sec effort could be on the cards. STUDLEY (6) is a consistent type, and he normally settles on the speed, so he is the obvious danger. He will benefit from the scratching of WOODEN FINGERS (5) and make the favourite work hard throughout. SHANLYN CRIPPS (4) and FABRONI BALE (2) won’t be too far away.
