A winner and twice Group 3-placed last year at two, 3-year-old colt Julio won a six-furlong Group 3 at Hamburg on June 30 and will be offered with an entry in the Aug. 3 G3 Thoroughbred S. at Goodwood. G1 Melbourne Cup winner Rekindling (GB) (High Chaparral {Ire}) and G3 Chester Vase winner Golden Sword (GB) (High Chaparral {Ire}) appear under Julio’s third dam. Charming Kid won on debut for trainer Richard Fahey on May 16 and after beating two home in the G2 Norfolk S. at Royal Ascot, he finished third in the G2 Arqana July S. at Newmarket on July 12.
