A bumper nine-race card is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at Yarra Valley and Horsebetting’s Victorian form analyst presents his best bets, top odds and free quaddie picks. The track is rated a Good 4, with the rail out 3m the entire circuit, for the meeting commencing at 12:50pm AEDT.

Yarra Valley Best Bet – Santa Fe Rose

We need to wait until the penultimate race of the day for our best bet, when last start debut winner Santa Fe Rose steps out over 1209m. Having gained a gun run in transit at Stony Creek on December 27, the four-year-old Per Incanto mare took over inside the furlong and put a sizeable gap on her rivals. She looks to be a mare with a bit of untapped ability and if she replicates that sort of run here on Sunday, she looks a clear best bet on the program. From barrier two under Jake Noonan, look for her to settle on the heels of the leaders and if she offers up the same turn of foot, Sante Fe Rose should be remaining undefeated after two starts. Santa Fe Rose is paying around the $4.20 mark with Australian racing betting sites.

Next Best Bet at Yarra Valley – Imagine Howe

In the opening leg of the quaddie, we’re happy to side with the Robbie Griffiths & Mathew de Kock-trained Imagine Howe who has a win and a minor placing from three starts this prep. Put a line through his last start at Cranbourne where he found more traffic than the Sydney CBD. Prior to that, he had a close up second at the Yarra Valley 1500m, the track and distance he returns to on Sunday. He found a touch of trouble that day, so he will be needing better luck this time round than what he has experienced as of late. Nathan Punch will look to have the four-year-old son of Reset settled in the one-one from barrier four and if he is afforded that, Imagine Howe should prove too good late with even luck.

Next BestRace 6 – Imagine Howe (#3) $4.50 with Sportsbet

Best Value Bet at Yarra Valley – Deece Scent Kiss

The Peter Moody-trained Deece Scent Kiss ($8 with Ladbrokes Australia) looks to present great value having led the field up at Cranbourne last time out, before weakening over the final 50m. Despite drawing a wide barrier, the three-year-old filly out of Kiss And Make Up looks to be the only natural leader in the race. If she can gain an uncontested lead and not get trapped wide, then we expect to see a well-rated ride from Jason Benbow prove beneficial over 1209m. The field she meets here is hardly the strongest maiden and if she can see out a strongly run six furlongs, good luck catching her.

Best ValueRace 3 – Deece Scent Kiss (#6) $8 with Ladbrokes
