Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted January 17, 2022 Journalists Share Posted January 17, 2022 The promising Sir Harley faces exciting prospects Jet Like Rico and Sierra Foxtrot in what should be a terrific Mixed 4/5 460m race at Warragul this evening. Talented youngster Compton Blazer – triumphant in three straight races and five of seven overall – lines up against the consistent Coolant in a Mixed 4/5 400m event, while Big Fonzie is expected to boost his strike rate in a 460m Restricted Win final. G3 winner Jazz Opera headlines a 400m Grade 5 final, but track specialist Top Faith and Mac Rooster are big dangers. Dual Group placegetter Gracie Bale and the in-form Aston Ziebell are the standout chasers in their respective 485m Restricted Win heats at Horsham this afternoon. He hasn’t had a lot of luck in his past three runs; however, he turned in some big performances prior to that. He meets a handy one in WAVES CRASHING (6), but he should be able to go with him in the early stages and then prove too strong in the run home. $5 Win – SIR HARLEY Must Watch Race Mixed Grade 4/5 Warragul Race 6 Box 4 460m 8:25pm TAB fixed odds: $2.30 Win The Watchdog says : SIR HARLEY (4) turned in a big performance when placed here on Friday night and he can go one better this evening. The empty draw to his outside is a big advantage, so with a clean getaway, he should be able to assume control before they enter the bend, and he will prove too strong in the run home. ‘Must Watch Race’ Preview : SIR HARLEY (4) has been a little costly of late, however he is jet propelled when at his best and he is expected to return to the winners list tonight. He didn’t have a lot of luck here last Friday night; however, he did turn in a big performance and I’m expecting him to lead and carve out serious time. SIERRA FOXTROT (8) is a gun speedster also and he returned to racing with a slashing 25.83sec Geelong win. He has a terrific record here and the wide draw should suit, so if the favourite happens to make a mistake, he will be there to capitalise. JET LIKE RICO (1) rounds out the serious chances. He returned to form with a cracking 19.27sec Healesville win and he can show slick early speed. So, with an even getaway, he should fire through and be in the mix.
