Trainer Brad Widdup has some big plans instore for Kiwi-bred mare Icebath (NZ) (Sacred Falls).

The inaugural winner of the A$2million The Invitation (1400m) could head to Melbourne for another rich feature, the A$5million All-Star Mile (1600m), however, the Gr.1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) and Gr.1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) remain her major objectives.

“She is trialling on Thursday if the weather permits,” Widdup told RacingHQ.

“She will have quiet trial there (Warwick Farm) and then I will give her a second trial on the 29th and we will kick-off in the Apollo (Gr.2, 1400m).

“Whether we go to the All-Star Mile or we keep her here in Sydney and the main aim would be the Doncaster.”

While the Doncaster is set to be her main target, Widdup said he would like to test her over further ground in the autumn.

“I definitely want to try her over 2000m,” he said. “I don’t want to get too ahead of myself but we will have a look at the Queen Elizabeth.

“But there is a lot of water to go under the bridge before then.”

Widdup has enjoyed a great ride with the daughter of Sacred Falls, the winner of more than A$3.7 million.

“She has been fantastic for my stable and also my family,” he said.

“We have had a terrific run with her so far so we are hoping we can get another year or two out of her.

“She seems to be in good form and I can’t believe she is trialling this week, it has come on pretty quick.”

Widdup purchased the Waikato Stud-bred filly in Australia as a yearling for $100,000.
