REGAL GLORY (m, 6, Animal Kingdom–Mary's Follies, by More Than Ready), last seen taking the GI Matriarch S. at Del Mar Nov. 28, ran to top billing in Saturday's inaugural $500,000 GIII TAA Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf Invitational S. to dominate at 4-5. Sitting second last early, the chestnut swooped past foes out wide heading for home and was stacked some eight wide entering the stretch. That ground loss proved of no consequence, however, as she inhaled her competition en route to an impressive 3 1/2-length score in 1:41.74. Front-running Alms (City Zip) was resilient to dig in for second over Shifty She (Gone Astray).
