Settled near the back behind quick opening fractions of :21.93 and :44.78 courtesy of the dueling duo St. Joe Bay (Saint Anddan) and American Pastime (Tapizar), the bay came off the rail and swung out several paths wide turning for home, ground his way to the front late while racing down the center of the track and was 2 1/2-lengths clear of GI Breeders’ Cup Sprint hero and 6-5 race favorite Roy H (More Than Ready) at the wire. Fellow Phil D’Amato trainee Touching Rainbows (Aragorn {Ire}) was third. Final time for six furlongs was 1:10.08. Lifetime Record: 24-6-7-1; $848,829.
