The Watchdog says : McCOOLY’S LAD (8) has the class edge and is the only runner capable of going sub 33.90sec. GOLDEN QUEST (7) is expected to carve across early and that should allow McCOOLY’S LAD to take over past the post the first time and he has proven hard to get past when in the clear.

‘Must Watch Race’ Preview :

It’s a shame TRUE COLLINDA (5) has been scratched but we still see a cracking line-up with the explosive McCOOLY’S LAD (8) looking to return to the winners list. He was Group 2 placed in Queensland from this draw three runs back and with GOLDEN QUEST (7) expected to carve across, he should get a nice cart across early, and he will get every chance to smash the 34-second barrier. SPECIAL TALENT (4) is an interesting runner. He has been racing with minimal luck of late, but he is a gifted chaser when at his best and he will be suited to this distance range. INVICTUS JAXSON (3) is racing with confidence and just needs to step on terms, whilst the ultra-consistent CALL ME BUSTER (1) is drawn to get all the breaks.
