Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted February 26, 2022 Journalists Posted February 26, 2022 For the second time on Saudi Cup day, Christophe Lemaire rode them to sleep on the front end, and the rider was rewarded with his third win from as many races on the day when Stay Foolish (Jpn) (Stay Gold {Jpn}) hit the line much the best in the G3 Red Sea Turf H., in the process delivering Japan its third win from three races on the day. In winning his first pattern race since 2018, Stay Foolish was tracked early by Ireland's Princess Zoe (Ger) (Jukebox Jury {Ire}), with Godolphin's fancied Siskany (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) poised on the rail and Johnny Murtagh's Sonnyboyliston (Ire) (Power {GB}) one behind him. Nayef Road (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) made a decisive mid-race move to come from the back and overtake Princess Zoe for second, but Stay Foolish remained unfazed and unpressured. Nayef Road dropped away as they passed the quarter pole and with nothing firing from the back it soon became clear that those attending the easy early pace would fight out the finish, but it proved not much of a fight at all for Stay Foolish, who sprinted clear from a game Sonnyboyliston to win by three lengths, with Siskany staying on for third.
