Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted February 26, 2022 Journalists Posted February 26, 2022 UN OJO (g, 3, Laoban–Risk a Chance, by A.P. Indy) rallied up the fence to blow up the tote at 75-1 in Saturday's GII Rebel S. at Oaklawn. Last seen finishing second in Aqueduct's GIII Withers S. Feb. 5 while in the temporary care of Tony Dutrow, the gelding returned to the Ricky Courville barn as a rank outside here. Sitting a bit closer this time while hugging the fence, the dark bay tugged his way up into the pocket entering the bend. He snuck up the inside entering the lane, but seemed out-footed by at least a couple of rivals to midstretch. Rider Ramon Vazquez never stopped pedaling, however, and Un Ojo ground his way to the front in the shadow of the wire. Fellow longshot Ethereal Road (Quality Road) took second over Barber Road (Race Day). Odds-on Newgrange (Violence) faded in midstretch. Un Ojo, who has one eye as his name would suggest, stopped the clock in 1:45.69. Lifetime Record: 6-2-2-0. O-Cypress Creek Equine LLC. B-Southern Equine Stables LLC (Ky). T-Ricky Courville.
