Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted July 29, 2018 Journalists Share Posted July 29, 2018 GOOD MAGIC (c, 3, Curlin–Glinda the Good, by Hard Spun), a prohibitive 1-2 favorite in Monmouth Park’s signature race, turned in a no-doubt-about it performance Sunday at the shore, romping home a five-length winner in 1:50.01 after stalking the early pace. GI Preakness S. runner-up Bravazo (Awesome Again) was second with Lone Sailor (Majestic Warrior) third. Last year’s champion 2-year-old male after breaking his maiden in the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, Good Magic annexed the GII Blue Grass S. at Keeneland in April before finishing second to eventual Triple Crown winner Justify (Scat Daddy) in the GI Kentucky Derby. He settled for fourth in the GI Preakness S. after dueling with the winner early over a sloppy surface. Sales history: $1,000,000 yrl ’16 KEESEP.
