HorseBetting’s New South Wales form analyst brings you his best bets and quaddie numbers for Tuesday’s seven-race meeting at Taree. The track is rated a Heavy 10, and with more rain predicted in the area, there is some doubt that the meeting will go ahead. The rail is in the true position for the entire course, while racing begins at 2:10pm AEDT.

Best Bet at Taree – Whatever I Say

Paul Shailer and Ben Looker combine in the second race of the day with four-year-old gelding Whatever I Say. The son of Pierro has had just five starts, finishing second twice on rain-affected going. Given the track is rated a Heavy 10, Whatever I Say looks a great chance to get his maiden out of the way. From barrier four, Looker should be able to put this gelding in a prominent spot which will see him hard to beat.

Next Best at Taree – Ciao Bicky

Kris Lees and Aaron Bullock team up with Ciao Bicky, a promising three-year-old. The son of Rubick is yet to win in six starts, although he has been in the minor money on three occasions, with one of those coming on a soft track here at Taree. The gelding should be rock-hard fit now having his fifth run for the preparation, while he strikes the easiest race of his career. Bullock is likely to go to the back of the field from barrier 11 before bringing Ciao Becky to the outside and letting him finish the race off strongly.

Next BestRace 3 – Ciao Bicky (#4) $3.20 with Sportsbet

Best Value at Taree – Vaporetto

In the opening race of the day, Vaporetto lines up in her 21st career start and will be looking for her second victory. The four-year-old daughter of Ferlax has done all of her best racing on wet tracks, including a last-start third at Grafton on a Heavy 8. Courtney Bellamy does the riding on Tuesday, so her 3kg claim will be extremely beneficial, which will see the mare in with just 52kg. There is not a great deal of depth to this race, so Vaporetto looks a great each-way play in the opener.

Best ValueRace 1 – Vaporetto (#7) $31 with Sportsbet
