G3 winner Collinda Patty – a kennelmate of Equalizer – faces G2 winner Hill Top Jack and G1 finalist Handsome Rhino in a Mixed 4/5 600m race, while Queensland visitor and G1 finalist Orchestrate stands out in a Grade 5 525m event.

G3 winner Love The City lines up against the promising Rio Bhodi in a 525m Restricted Win Final, while G3 runner-up Red Reactor highlights a Grade 6 525m race.

The Watchdog says : COLLINDA LADY (3) is a gifted chaser, and she should be able to run over the top of XIMENA BALE (1) in the closing stages. RED REACTOR (1) beat a very similar field here last Saturday night and he should repeat the dose this evening. CAROLINE (2) has the class edge and should be leading from go to whoa.

The Watchdog says : KANJI HEIGHT (2) was brilliant when scoring here last Saturday night and although he meets a stronger line-up this evening, he should still hit the scoreboard. EQUALIZER (3) is expected to run over the top late, however KANJI HEIGHT should go with KYSAIAH (1) for most of the journey.

‘Must Watch Race’ Preview :

EQUALIZER (3) makes his much-anticipated return to the track after a career-threatening injury and he showed that he still has it with a scorching 23.41sec trial at Bendigo. He has drawn actually quite well tonight as there appears to be plenty of pace drawn all around him, so he should be able to drift across to the rail and settle in the top four as they head to the back straight. He appears well graded tonight, but it won’t be a walk in the park as KYSAIAH (1) is a serious up-and-comer and should be running sub 29.90sec, so EQUALIZER can’t afford to make too many mistakes in running. Fingers crossed the Group 1 Brisbane Cup champion can get around safely and based on his trial, he will have a big campaign ahead.
