Eagle Farm will host its second meeting since returning from a 13-week break last weekend. It has to be mentioned just how well the course played on Saturday off such a long break, so we are looking forward to getting back there. The rail will move out a further 3m to the 10m position, but horses were getting out to the middle of the track on Saturday, so the rail movement could favour those on the fence. The track is rated a Good 4, and racing is set to begin at 1pm AEST. For all of HorseBetting’s free Eagle Farm tips, best bets and quaddie numbers, read on.

Best Bet – Preach

Toby & Trent Edmonds saddle up three-year-old colt Preach in the seventh race of the afternoon. This son of Flying Artie made his debut on February 9 at Ipswich where he was ultra-impressive, defeating two subsequent winners – Good Bean and Cracking Thunder – by two lengths. Ben Thompson stays in the saddle on Wednesday, which is a big plus, while barrier five is likely to see him go forward and lead, where he will be mighty hard to catch over the 1000m. He has a brilliant turn of foot based on what we saw on debut, so it will take a good one to beat him in this. Many of the top betting apps have got him favourite for this one.

Best BetRace 7 – Preach (#2) $2.30 with Neds

Next Best – Mosshiki

In the second race of the quaddie, Rob Heathcote and Adin Thompson combine with Mosshiki, a five-year-old gelding who loves racing at Eagle Farm. The son of Mossman has had 10 starts at Eagle Farm for one win and four minor placings so he should appreciate getting back to this track for the first time in quite some time. The gelding has been racing in honest form this preparation finishing no worse than 2.1 lengths off the winner in four runs, and this is by far the easiest race he has been in. Now fifth-up, we expect Mosshiki to take some serious beating, especially from barrier four. He is also paying a juicy $3.50 with Australian bookmakers.

Next BestRace 6 – Mosshiki (#5) $3.50 with Neds

Best Value – Regal Edition

In the opening race of the day, Kelly Schweida and James Orman combine with five-start maiden, Regal Edition. The four-year-old gelding has been runner up in his past four starts, while he ran third on debut at the Gold Coast back in August. Having finished second to the likes of Vantina, Big Muskie and Campai, Regal Edition should have the right form to be able to finally break through. The son of Rubick comes off a six-length defeat on the Polytrack at the Sunshine Coast, so he should appreciate getting back to a turf track at Eagle Farm where he is trained. He can win at last.

Best ValueRace 1 – Regal Edition (#1) $4.80 with Neds
