The Watchdog says : FERDINAND BOY (3) is the reigning Shepparton Cup champion, and he is going as well as ever. There is limited early pace in boxes one and two, so with a clean getaway, he should be able to cross and lead and he is very hard to get past when in the clear.

Thrilling Group 2 final and all eyes will be on boom youngster MR. AUDACIOUS (6). After missing the kick, he showed a tremendous turn of foot when smashing the track record in his 24.66sec heat win. He has come up with a tough draw again tonight and he can’t afford to make any mistakes at box rise. FERDINAND BOY (3) is the reigning Shepparton Cup champion and he showed in his heat that he is going as well as he was 12 months ago. There isn’t a whole lot of early pace inside, so if he can step on terms, he should be able to assume control quickly and he has proven in the past that he is very hard to get past when in the clear. Group 2 Warragul Cup winner ROBBIE ROTTEN (8) was beaten but far from disgraced in his heat, while COMPLIANCE (4) and SUBSTANTIAL (7) both appear to be value.
