Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted March 21, 2022 Journalists Share Posted March 21, 2022 Listed Western Districts Derby placegetter Decimate is tipped to bolster his record to 12 wins from 23 starts in a Mixed 4/5 460m race at Warragul tonight, but he does face well-performed chasers headlined by Spring Scout. One’s Obsession v G3 finalist Ha Ha Magoo v Disorientated should be a competitive 400m Free For All, while Allan Coe is looking to stay unbeaten after four starts in a Grade 5 400m event. In-form chasers Invictus Benson (won his last two) and My Neo (won four of his last five) clash in a 460m Restricted Win final, while the gifted Paua Of Mindy stands out in a Grade 5 460m race. Track specialist Duncan highlights the meeting at Healesville in a 300m Free For All, while Boes Rose v Rear View Mirror v Javi is a competitive 350m Free For All. DUNCAN (4) is a track specialist, and he should make light work of this line-up. ASTON ILLUSION (2) is showing plenty of potential and is expected to lead throughout. RIPPLEBROOK RORY (1) excels around Warragul, and he will scrape the paint, so with an even getaway he should be able to hit the scoreboard. PAUA OF MINDY (1) has plenty on these and should be winning with ease. Multi price: $2.78 $2 Trifecta – 1 / 5,8 / 5,7,8 (50%) Must Watch Race Mixed Grade 4/5 Warragul Race 9 460m 9:25pm The Watchdog says : DECIMATE (1) should assume control as they head into the bend, and he will prove too classy. MIGHTY PIE (8) can settle on the pace, and he looks likely for the quinella spot, however we have included NIHARI BALE (5). SPRING SCOUT (7) has been included for the minor end of the money as he is racing with confidence. ‘Must Watch Race’ Preview : Western Districts Derby placegetter DECIMATE (1) has been taking on and beating some elite chasers in recent months and he heads to Warragul for a nice confidence booster tonight. His box manners aren’t great, but he does explode once balanced and with SAILOR’S GIRL (2) expected to clear him early, he should get every chance to get into the clear. He has won here previously in a sizzling 25.78sec and I think he is capable of going even faster, so with a clear passage early, a sub 25.60sec run could be on the cards. MIGHTY PIE (8) is showing promise and he is expected to keep the pressure on throughout, while SPRING SCOUT (7) is racing with confidence at present and if the favourite happens to make a mistake, he could cause an upset.
