G3 Northern Districts Cup runner-up My Name’s Stacey is favoured to bounce back from an unlucky run at Sandown Park on Sunday in a Mixed 4/5 525m race at The Meadows today.

Fabriola Ximenez is considered the biggest danger to My Name’s Stacey after contesting a heat of the Group 1 Golden Easter Egg two starts back.

In-form chasers Zachary and Elmo Rose clash in a 440m Free For All at Sale tonight, while Rasputin v Lakeview Lola v Jack’s Cracker is expected to be a competitive Mixed 4/5 520m event.

G2 Cranbourne Cup winner Jax Bale – racing for the second time since December 18 – stands out in a Mixed 4/5 460m race at Geelong this evening, while speedsters Gladki, Freya Bale and Gunai Rebel will battle in a Grade 4 400m dash.

FREYA BALE (7) is expected to ping and run and that should create a nice path across for him in the initial stages and he can then go to work as they navigate the bend. He is quite strong in the run home, so if he can round the bend in the top three, he will prove hard to hold out.

Strong line-up and GUNAI REBEL (8) looks poised to add another victory to her already impressive CV. She has a great record from this draw, and she is armed with dynamic pace soon after box rise, so with the speedy FREYA BALE (7) expected to carve across and look for the rail, she should get a dream run across and assume control as they head into the bend. FREYA BALE is a near faultless beginner, and she scorched around Shepparton recently in 21.58sec. If she can repeat that performance, she may prove hard to reel in. SURELLA BALE (4) returned to racing with a dazzling 22.64sec win here last Wednesday night and she will be even better for the run, so with a clear run early, she can hit the scoreboard. LEVI BALE (6) rounds out the big guns. He needs a little room in the initial stages, but he is armed with elite mid-race pace and if he gets a look at them around the bend, he can make a big impact.
