Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted April 17, 2022 Journalists Share Posted April 17, 2022 What Geelong Races Where Geelong Racecourse – 99 Breakwater Rd, Breakwater, VIC, 3219 When Tuesday, April 19, 2022 First Race 1:30pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes Following a big Easter long weekend of racing, we head down the highway to Geelong on Tuesday afternoon where an eight-race card is set to be run and won. Horsebetting’s Victorian tipping expert has gone through the card and have found a couple of best bets, including a play upwards of $20 for a horse stepping out of Stakes grade. We’re set to be racing on a Good 4, with the rail out 3m from the 1400m-350m mark, for the meeting commencing at 1:30pm AEST. Geelong Best Bet – Zounile Resuming off a four-month spell is the Mick Price & Michael Kent Jr-trained Zounile looks perfectly placed to break her maiden at her third career start. She hasn’t been seen since being rolled as a $1.35 chance over the 1518m at Geelong on December 10, but on debut showed plenty to suggest she was a filly worth sticking with. She managed to settle in the second half of the field and stormed home to claim second when beating home Tempest Charm. If the Zoustar filly can replicate what she produced on debut, then this isn’t the toughest maiden going around and she should have a bit on these. We’re more than happy to load into the $3.40 on offer from PlayUp. Best Bet Race 2 – #10 Zounile (4) 3yo Filly | T: Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr | J: Jordan Childs (57kg) $3.40 with PlayUp Geelong Next Best – Enosi We will be hoping it is a big day for the Price & Kent stable, as they saddle up five-year-old gelding Enosi in the fourth event. The five-year-old gelding grinded away to second at Ballarat on March 27 and screams out that he will enjoy getting out in distance as his career goes on. He goes up to the 2409m on Tuesday and looks to be building nicely towards a maiden victory. From barrier three under John Allen, he draws to gain an economical run in transit and as long as sees out the 2409m, he clearly looks one of the better bets of the day. Take the $2.70 on offer from online betting sites and run. Next Best Race 4 – #2 Enosi (3) 5yo Gelding | T: Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr | J: John Allen (59.5kg) $2.60 with Bet365 Best Value at Pakenham – Pearl Rain The Patrick Payne-trained Pearl Rain is stepping out of the Listed Tasmanian Oaks and comes back to a BM64 over 1708m at Geelong. The Al Maher filly managed to finish just 1.5 lengths off subsequent Adrian Knox Stakes winner Honeycreeper, who then went around as a $4.40 chance in the Australian Oaks. The step back from 2100m is a slight concern, but with genuine Group 1 form lines behind her and a strong finishing burst, we’re willing to take the $21 on offer from online bookmakers in the second leg of the quaddie. Best Value Race 6 – #12 Pearl Rain (4) 3yo Filly | T: Patrick Payne | J: Mikaela Lawrence (a2) (57.5kg) $21 with Palmerbet Tuesday quaddie picks for Geelong Geelong quadrella selections Tuesday, April 19, 2022 5-7-8 1-6-7-12 3-8-10-14 3-5-7-14 Investment: $192 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
