Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted May 6, 2022 Journalists Posted May 6, 2022 Springfield House Stud's Unfortunately (Ire) (by Society Rock {Ire}) became the latest first-season sire to get off the mark on Friday evening as Looking For Lynda (Ire) captured the opener at Nottingham. Sent off the 6-5 favourite for the five-furlong contest having finished runner-up at Ayr on debut Apr. 25, the Karl Burke-trained son of the Cheveley Park mare Designated (GB) (Dutch Art {GB}) was professional from the outset under Clifford Lee and shook off those who chose to take him on in front to score by 3 1/4 lengths from Friday Already (Ire) (Dragon Pulse {Ire}). “He was still a bit green there and stumbled coming out of the stalls, but travelled and quickened up nicely,” his rider said. “I felt he wasn't giving me everything in the final furlong, but that's greenness and he'll come on for that again.” A 12,000gns Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale graduate, Looking For Lynda was bred by Springfield House Stud and Hollymount Stud.
