'TDN Rising Star' JACK CHRISTOPHER (c, 3, Munnings–Rushin No Blushin, by Half Ours), off since a shin injury forced him to miss the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile for which he likely would have gone favored, picked up right where he left off Saturday with a press-and-pull-away victory in the GII Pat Day Mile S. The 3-5 favorite put some 3 1/2 lengths on pacesetter Pappacap (Gun Runner) at the line, with My Prankster (Into Mischief) nearly nipping Pappacap for second. Jack Christopher, an 8 3/4-length debut winner at Saratoga Aug. 28 who followed up with a 2 3/4-length score in Belmont's Oct. 2 GI Champagne S. after Coolmore and Peter Brant bought in, stopped the clock in 1:34.81.
