Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted May 10, 2022 Journalists Share Posted May 10, 2022 What Wyong Races Where Wyong Race Club – 71-73 Howarth St, Wyong NSW 2259 When Thursday, May 12, 2022 First Race 11:40am AEST Visit Ladbrokes HorseBetting’s New South Wales racing analyst presents his best bets and quaddie selections for the nine-race program at Wyong on Thursday, May 12. Once again, we will be racing on a Heavy 9 surface, while the rail goes out 4m for the entire course. Racing is scheduled to get underway at 11:40am AEST. Best Bet at Wyong – Xpresso Nathan Doyle and Lee Magorrian combine in the final event of the day with impressive last-start winner Xpresso. The son of Xtravagant was first-up off a long spell on ANZAC Day when a dominant 3-length winner at Gosford on a Heavy 9 over 1100m in maiden grade, leading all of the way. He should take a lot of benefit from that run and victory, so now second up we expect that he will take plenty of beating once again. From barrier eight, Magorrian can get across on the likely race favourite and give this field a shake once again. Best Bet Race 9 – #1 Xpresso (8) 3yo Gelding | T: Nathan Doyle | J: Lee Magorrian (59.5kg) $3.40 with Ladbrokes Next Best at Wyong – Duke Of Gordon John O’Shea has a handy one on his hands in Duke Of Gordon. The three-year-old gelding has won his last two starts by big margins – both of which came at Wyong on Heavy 10 surfaces. The son of Dissident was four lengths too good for his rivals on April 28 over the mile, giving his opposition a good old galloping lesson. O’Shea hasn’t changed anything with his promising galloper, keeping him to the mile at Wyong on another heavy track. If Reece Jones just holds on and stays in the saddle, Duke Of Gordon should once again be winning. Next Best Race 7 – #2 Duke Of Gordon (8) 3yo Gelding | T: John O’Shea | J: Reece Jones (a0)(60kg) $2.05 with Bet365 Best Value Bet at Wyong – Emilia Romagna The two-year-olds will do battle early in the program over 1100m in a Maiden Plate, and one who we like is the Bjorn Baker-trained filly, Emilia Romagna. Although there are some very handy ones in this field – namely Economics, Ahoy and Secret Revolution – this daughter of Pierro has had two runs at high levels, finishing midfield behind Lady Laguna on debut at Rosehill, before running six lengths off Soaring Ambition in the Wyong Magic Millions 2YO Classic at her second start. Out of a Group 1-winning mare in Griante, this filly has won both of her trials in preparation for Thursday’s racetrack return, while the wet conditions should suit her. Best Value Race 2 – #8 Emilia Romagna (6) 2yo Filly | T: Bjorn Baker | J: Rachel King (55kg) $8 with Neds Thursday quaddie tips for Wyong Wyong quadrella selections Thursday, May 11, 2022 2-5-7 1-2-4 1-2-3 1-2 Investment: $54 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
