Shima Sheen and G3 finalist Rolling Stone – victorious last Sunday in his first race since January 8, 2021 – clash in the Rodney Thorneycroft Memorial Final, while Slingshot Reaper v Duncan, Revolution v Struck Gold and Action Girl v G3 runner-up Plan Ahead are top duels.

Flying Pie, G2 finalist Dynamic Prince and Hill Top Jonnie are all expected to prevail.

The Watchdog says : PANAMA CANAL (6) has won ten on the spin and he should be leading throughout. HUMMOCK (8) is a powerful type, and he will get plenty of room in the early stages, so he should be able to fill the quinella spot.

PANAMA CANAL (6) has won a staggering 10 straight and he continues to light up the clock wherever he goes. He has three sub 16.50sec wins to his credit here over 300m and he has gone to another level since those wins. With a clear run early, he should be able to assume control quickly and a sub 18.90sec win could be on the cards. HUMMOCK (8) has been luckless since his slashing 29.89sec win at The Meadows in March and he can make amends. It is his first look at the track, but he is suitably drawn out wide and he can charge home into second spot. ZEEBA’S LEGACY (4) was a terrific 21.94sec Ballarat winner last month and he is armed with slick early speed.
