Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted May 16, 2022 Journalists Share Posted May 16, 2022 What Moe Races Where Moe Racing Club – Waterloo Rd, Moe VIC 3825 When Tuesday, May 17, 2022 First Race 1pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes An eight-race card is scheduled for Moe Racing Club on Tuesday afternoon, and HorseBetting’s Victorian form expert is confident he can steer you into a few midweek winners. We look set to be racing on a rain-affected track, currently rated a Soft 7, with the rail in the true position throughout. The meeting gets underway when the first race jumps at 1pm AEST. Best Bet at Moe – Foxicon The infamous duo of Peter Moody and Luke Nolen are set to combine in the final event of the day at Royal Moe with three-year-old filly Foxicon. The Foxwedge filly was last seen finishing 1.5 lengths off the likes of Jezoulenko and Butter Blonde on Boxing Day at Caulfield. She finished sixth that day but went to the line relatively untested and was entitled to finish closer than what she actually did. This is much easier than that assignment and considering she has a win to her name on debut in her sole run when fresh, we’re happy to side with her in this. She managed to lead throughout on debut and will need to do something similar on Tuesday, having drawn out in barrier 16. She has a bit of class on this lot all things considered and with $4 on offer online betting sites she is hard to go past. Best Bet Race 8 – #6 Foxicon (16) 3yo Filly | T: Peter Moody | J: Luke Nolen (59.5kg) $3.40 with Unibet Next Best at Moe – Azaly The Ben & JD Hayes-trained Azaly is a runner who arguably has not lived up to expectations, however in Class 2 company on Tuesday, looks to be a class above his rivals. The four-year-old gelding is yet to taste success since his win in BM66 grade at Wagga over 12 months ago. He was last seen finishing 5.5 lengths off Tokorangi at Caulfield on April 23 and looks like he will relish getting back to country level racing and bring up a confidence boosting win. From barrier one, we expect Daniel Stackhouse to have the Dundeel gelding settled on the heels of the leaders, considering he needs to lug 63kg. With even luck on the home turn, we anticipate Azaly will show his class and ultimately prove too hard to hold out. Next Best Race 6 – #1 Azaly (1) 4yo Gelding | T: Ben & JD Hayes | J: Daniel Stackhouse (63kg) $5.50 with Palmerbet Best Value at Moe – I Am Beautiful Phillip Stokes will be hoping his five-year-old mare I Am Beautiful can resume from a 64-week layoff with a forward showing in what doesn’t look to be the toughest maiden going around. The Ustinov mare was narrowly beaten in a Traralgon trial on May 3 to suggest she may be primed to be competitive in a race like this. From barrier nine, look for apprentice Sheridan Clarke to have the bay mare settled close to the speed, preferably in the one-one and when asked for an effort, we expect her to loom up strongly inside the final furlong and hopefully prove too hard to hold out. The $12 with online bookmakers is quite inviting. Best Value Race 3 – #12 I Am Beautiful (8) 5YO Mare | T: Phillip Stokes | J: Sheridan Clarke (a2) (57.5kg) $12 with Ladbrokes Tuesday quaddie tips for Moe Moe quadrella selections Tuesday, May 17, 2022 3-6-7-11 1-4 1-2-5-7 2-6 Investment: $64 for 100% More horse racing tips View the full article
