Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted May 23, 2022 Journalists Share Posted May 23, 2022 What Sale Races Where Sale Turf Club – 1227 Maffra-Sale Rd, Sale VIC 3850 When Wednesday, May 25, 2022 First Race 12:25pm AEST Visit Ladbrokes Sale is home to an eight-race program on Wednesday, kicking off at 12:25pm AEST. Without much rain about, gallopers are predicted to be racing on a Good 4 surface. Race five starts the first leg of the quaddie at 2:45pm, while the last race is at 4:25pm. The first four races of the afternoon are maiden encounters which look tricky for punters, yet our best bet of the day comes up in the fourth. Pakenham Best Bet: French War Jordan Childs is on our next best too so we are hoping he has a good day as he hops aboard French War for Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr. The four-year-old gelding comes back to Sale after winning here two weeks ago when running home really well over the last 500 metres. He kept going when he passed them too, winning by 2.2 lengths in the end, which says he is on song and rock-hard fit. He stays over 2200m, which should be no problem at all, and barrier six should see him position up nicely. Best Bet Race 8 – #2 French War (6) 4yo Gelding | T: Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr | J: Jordan Childs (61kg) 3.10 with Bet365 Pakenham Value Bet: Gymnastics This James Cummings-trained horse ran home very nicely last time at Bendigo, and we think he’s ready to salute. He was 20-1 on that occasion and was also our value bet, and he gave us a run for our money when he had the fastest final 200m. He does lose Damien Oliver this time but gets another Melbourne Cup-winning jockey in Jye McNeil. If the pace is on again, look for this one to be swooping late. Bold Hoi Ho for Patrick Payne will be hard to beat after winning on debut. Best Value Race 5 – #10 Gymnastics (10) 3yo Filly | T: James Cummings | J: Jye McNeil (55kg) $3.90 with Palmerbet Wednesday quaddie tips for Sale races Sale quadrella selections Wednesday, May 25, 2022 2-3-4-10 1-3-6 2-4 2-4-5 Investment: $72 for 100% More horse racing news View the full article
